Privacy Policy

Mood Landscapes · Last updated 27 August 2026

Mood Landscapes collects nothing about you. This policy explains what that means precisely, because the claim is unusual enough to deserve detail.

The short version

The app has no accounts, no servers, and no networking code. Everything you log stays on your iPhone. Nothing is transmitted to us, because there is nowhere for it to be transmitted to.

What the app stores

Everything you record — the emotion, its intensity, the time, and the time zone you were in — is stored on your device in the app's own storage. So is a technical record of each stroke you draw, which the app uses to improve how accurately it reads your gestures over time.

None of it leaves the device unless you deliberately export it.

What the app does not do

Health data

If — and only if — you choose to connect Health:

You can decline this, or revoke it later in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health. The app is fully functional without it, and nothing is withheld if you say no.

Notifications

If you enable the optional daily reminder, the app schedules local notifications on your device. These are created and delivered by iOS on the device itself. No notification passes through any server of ours, and no notification includes anything about what you have logged.

Backups and exports

Crisis resources

The app lists crisis support services for your region. These are other organisations, listed for your convenience. Contacting them is a direct interaction between you and them; the app is not involved and learns nothing about it. Their own privacy practices apply.

Children

The app is not directed at children and collects nothing from anyone, regardless of age.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the revised version will be posted here with a new date. Because the app collects nothing, any future change that altered that would be a significant one, and would be described plainly rather than buried.
